Seize the Power to Achieve Goals
Updated: Mar 4
I've brainstormed until I was blue. I've looked up many definitions of words I liked. I wanted to turn the exact concept in my head into a phrase that expressed what I would seek to achieve with my audience and I think I have found it!
I've concluded that I like the word "power." Usually I'm looking for one definition that fits. Sometimes more than one works. In this case, I liked all four I've outlined below. Each definition had an element of why I liked this word the best and how I feel it relates to people's lives.
The ability to do something or act in a particular way.
I could say, "My power to get people to the next level is strong." A client could say, "I want to increase my power to achieve my goals." Since we are improving abilities achieve To-Do's with any of my programs, this was a well-suited word. All ambitious people I know want to increase and improve their power. Now, do they already have it in them? Does it need to be learned? This is where the word "Seize" comes into play. 🤔
The capacity or ability to direct or influence the behavior of others or the course of events.
An example: "She used her power to help others become what they truly wanted to be." The definition had a slight negative connotation but I want to use it in a positive light. Most people's goals revolve around helping others. Well, if they want to help others, they will be influencing their behavior or the course of events to get to their goal! 😊
A supernatural being, deity, or force.
Ok, this one is just for fun! You know how I love to use analogies of superhero powers. It's my light-hearted way of explaining things sometimes to clients and friends. I believe all people have a bit of "magic" in them. It's their "superpower." Whether it be making strangers smile, seeing the best in people, playing the piano so well it brings people to tears... simple abilities and amazing talents, are both superpowers of humans. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it! 😍
Move or travel with great speed or force.
Most people I know want to speed up success. No one I know wants to wait around for what they want. So, let's get clients" powered towards their goals!" It's the thing I love to do. I want to see them do what you love! 🦸♀️🦸♂️
And Jo, check this out! I found it interesting that while defining this word, I discovered the origin was from old words that meant "be able" 😮 That's what we are trying to do! Get clients to be more able to achieve their goals!
That's all for now. Let's just say I'm "superpower" excited about these new projects!
