Have You Ever Looked for a Place to Call Home?
Updated: Mar 29
These guys live on a farm across the street from me. I don't why, but I've been infatuated with them ever since I arrived here in #TurnersHillUK. I used to make my boyfriend laugh by squealing "baby sheep!" when we drove by them. Yes, I know they are called "lambs" but it sounded more entertaining the other way. I just loved looking at them in the field against the green rolling hills. I've been "dreaming" of farm life now, for quite some time.
Living on a farm had always been attractive to me ever since I can remember. Actually I wanted the best of both worlds, living on a farm right outside the city. Around 2016, while living in Clearwater, Florida - I started really getting the urge to leave the state and go some place where I could find more green, more hills, more culture and more city. I wanted it all and Clearwater wasn't doing it for me.
"...go some place where I could find more green, more hills, more culture and more city."
I started researching online different pictures of different places to see what indicated to me. I liked Oregon but it was too far from something important in my life. I also wasn't sure if there was an underlying reason making me want to leave, so I decided to wait longer to ensure I was finding the right place to go.
In 2019, I arrived in East Grinstead, UK and this was not planned the year before. This was completely unforeseen by me. Matter of fact in November of 2018, I was running around trying to figure out what I was going to do with my life and my business. I ended up meeting someone and I flew to the UK because he lived there. Once I was there, I realized certain affirmations I had been saying for a long time had come true. Living on a farm was one of them. I was also right outside London. This place had culture and more green than I could ever get enough of.
If you had told me back in 2018 that I would be in England - on a farm - with a boyfriend - and his family, I would have told you you're crazy.
But isn't that how I got here? I was crazy enough to decide years back that I could have all those things I wanted and that some day they could come true.
