Am I as Fat as I Look in This Picture?!

Updated: Mar 29

How many of you have asked that question when looking at a photo of yourself? I actually was going to crop this photo. Then I thought about deleting it. Then I finally said, "F#$K It" and realized that this is part of my journey of going back to the real me. If you can't face what you currently look like, then you won't be able to "see" or acknowledge that something needs to be done about it.

Overall, I think this is a cool shot. However, I really need to lose that "fat suit". Now, don't get your panties in a bunch because I said that. This portion of my blog is not #bodypositive. What I mean by that is, I'm not going to sit here and tell myself I'm beautiful when I don't feel that way. I'd rather just do something about it according to my standards, not someone else's. Sure, that's part of the new "support trend" but I also believe it is getting out of control with women claiming they are confident and happy with themselves, when they are unhealthy. I want to be healthy and look good so I last long and achieve all my goals. I also don't feel like the BEST me. So I'm going to do something about it. I'm just not going to "run" around saying, I'm so beautiful even though I'm overweight.

I am going to let you know, it look me a long time to get to this point. Allowing myself to be photographed while not being happy with myself. I'm on a new journey now, it's called "I don't give a shit." I no longer care about what people think but instead want to inspire that something should be done about it. I want others to "walk" the path with me to shed the part of them that isn't really the "me" they want to represent.

Besides, I can't show how far I've come if I don't document the journey. I intend to reach my goals and therefore I've allowed myself to post this pic. Are you on a similar journey? Tell me about it in your comment below! Are you on IG, tell me your handle. I want your inspiration and support!
